If you want to write an ñ first we have to know the ASCII code which is alt 164.

To write an ñ press and hold the ALT key. While holding down the ALT key, enter
the 3-digit decimal code for the extended ASCII character you want to generate
(in this case 164) then release the ALT key. You should be able to do this in almost any programme.
Try doing it in this text box: (click on the box and then write the ñ using alt 164)

If it worked then you will be able to use all the Spanish characters the only problem is knowing which numbers to use: Here is a list of Spanish characters with their alt numbers.
á 160
é 130
í 161
ó 162
ú 163
É 144
¿ 168
¡ 173
ª 166
º 167
Ñ 164
ñ 165
Note: It is never obligatory to use accents with capital letters. I don't know what the numbers are for Á Ú Í
By the way: Here are a few more useful "alt" numbers: @ 64 (called the arroba in Spanish)
~ 126
÷ 246
½ 171
