At TollFreeForwarding I redesigned the call control system that determines what happens when one of our clients phone numbers are dialed. Users visit our website and create "call rules" that route the call based on the time of day and the Caller ID.

phpNotes is a personal program I created to keep track of small notes such as pictures, music files, Linux commands, serial numbers, funny emails, my PIX firewall configuration, and other Miscellaneous things. All notes are categorized by topic for easy navigation. If music files are uploaded, a flash mp3 player is automaticly created with a playlist. Images are also converted into thumbnails with ImageMagik and the GD library. phpNotes was created with php, Java Script, flash, and xml. It stores all data in a MySQL database. Check it out now...

Mobile Messenger IVR System

When Mobile Messenger decided to setup an office in Los Angeles, CA we needed to comply with mobile carrier requirements. The requirements were to create an unsubscribe voice application on the telephone in which users could call, enter thier phone number and they would be imediatley unsubscribed from all services. In addition to the requirements in the US, we decided to create the system to handle all of our UK, New Zealand and Australia customers as well. This invloved creating an application that would be different depending on the phone number you called. The US number has US Accents and the Australia number has Australian Accents. Try unsubscribing your phone number. It will work even if you have never subscribed.

Iowa Spring Traning Management System

While working at Alliance Technologies I created the Iowa Spring Training System for a client in Adel, Iowa which was developed with php and C# on top of an Oracle database. The main purpose of the application was to digitize all of their employee’s signatures for all future training. Along with capturing signatures I also created a notification system that emails supervisors two weeks ahead of time informing them of training. Cosmic Jukebox

I worked with Greg from J&K Associates in Boston to create Cosmic Jukebox. Greg created the interface while I created the backend that links everything together and processes all the information. Cosmic Jukebox compiles video clips selected by visitors on a touch screen monitor into a script readable by a Digistar Dome Theater. Visitors press their "button number" on a wireless PDA inside the theater to play their full color custom show.   More...

Prairie Pella Customers and FTP database sync

Microsoft Access can be tricky to deal with if you want to expand its functionality. That’s exactly what this C# ASP.NET 2.0 application resolved for Prairie Pella in Pella, Iowa. This client wanted to put their customer database on the web, accessible to all of their sales staff and traveling representatives. It creates an easily searchable client directory giving phone and address information at their fingertips. Every night the Microsoft Access database is synchronized from their network to Alliance Technology’s network which makes all changes current within 24 hours. Thanks to the .NET 2.0 framework I created this application from start to finish in a matter of minutes. Server Stat

Server Stat was created with php and JavaScript to monitor response times of servers on a LAN or WAN. Server Stat can text message multiple cell phones if a server becomes unresponsive. It is extremely portable because of its flat file storage and it does not depend on a database. The Science Center of Iowa currently uses it as a monitoring system. Server Stat is great for small to medium sized networks.

Program Log

ProgramLog is a program I created with VB.NET. It inserts data into an Access Database located on the network. Performs reports, authentication, and is complete with an installer. This software saved my company at least 20 hours of supervisory time and saved about 800 sheets of paper over the course of just one month. I was tempted to create this on an SQL database however; the SQL server is dedicated to billing, scheduling, and other organization dependent services.   More...
